* We disinfect the place with the same disinfectant used by Korean CDC between every guest. * Please read all descriptions and house rules before making a reservation JAE(再) in Korean is like a prefix 're-' in English attached before a word to mean that you are doing something again or starting over something as in 재시작(restart) It is designed for it to be a space for guests to 're-encounter' the past from this authentic traditional Hanok and to 'recharge' and 'resurge' from whatever that was holding them back. It's great whether 1) you just want to get away from daily grind but still be in the middle of city as it's really private and quiet, espcially at night, but comforts of city life is just out the doorstep, 2) you want to have exclusive boundaries with your significant other in the middle of city, or 3) traveling with your friends or family but have the entire traditional house for your group. If you are a group of guests, my place is best for 3-6 persons. I can prepare bedding up to 10 persons if you don't mind being a little bit crowded :) * Extra bedding(up to 2 floor mattresses) is available if you are a group of 4 or more. They must be requested at the time of reservation; otherwise, they won't be available. Without request, only three beds will be set up; the maximum number of bedding available to be set up is 5 - three queen-sized beddings will be set up without request and upon request two additional can be set up. About House - Hanoks have small bedrooms and bathrooms. You should have no problem sleeping but please be noted that it's smaller in western standards - Upper floor can be used for sleeping but has low ceiling(70-110cm) Additional Cleaning Service * While cleaning is done before check-in, you can request additional cleaning during your stay for a fee of KRW 40,000 per session to ensure a comfortable and tidy environment. * To schedule a cleaning, please send an inquiry via Airbnb message at least two days in advance. * Available Cleaning Times: * Morning: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM * Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM * Please choose one of the two time slots. * The additional cleaning service includes light housekeeping, such as general cleaning and trash removal, but does not include changing bed sheets. Check in - I usually meet with every guest for check in. House Rules

Due to COVID-19, government/city policies and guidelines at the time of stay overrides any arrangement made at the time of booking. They may change and changes in government/city policies and guidelines will not be the ground for cancellation and refund. If the number of people who can stay in the property change due to these changes, I'll refund any additional price you paid for extra guests. IN ENGLISH - No Shoes in the House - No Smoking (If there's a smell of smoking inside, I will call the special cleaning service and you will be charged of the special smoke smell removal service, which can be up to $1,000 plus, if necessary, replacing mattress and other things that absorbed smell and whatever the cost of having to refund the next reservation. So my message is clear. Do not smoke in the house) - No Candle or anything that involves use of fire/igniting(including burner or barbecue grill) other than cooking from built-in stove(Hanok is mainly made of wood so please be always mindful of fire) - No use of cooking equipment other than those equipped in the house. - No Pets - No partying or any other activities that involve heavy drinking and/or noise. - No commercial, professional filming/shooting allowed unless explicitly agreed upon in advance. - No day/overnight visitors. - No loud music or noise after 10 pm. Please be considerate of others in the neighborhood. - Although we conduct regular disinfection and pest control, the traditional structure of the hanok might allow some insects to enter. Refund is not available for such reason. - Everything in the house is for use in the house only so do not take anything from the house. - Do not tear the window/door papers. It's made of special material so that it won't tear easily but if you use knife or other sharp material it will be torn apart. The penalty per a torn paper is USD 30. The window/door paper master charge minimum of USD250 to do the job so I'm only charging a small fee so that guests will be mindful. - Do not move the furniture. If you have any reason that you'd have to do that you need to get my permission first - Please remember that this is a private house, not a hotel. Bukchon Hanok Village(북촌 한옥 마을) is an area right between two palaces. Proximity to the palaces was a sign of your status during the Chosen Dynasty. Therefore, it was an area resided by the noblemen. It's still a residential area of high ranking government officials, corporate executives, artists, and expats thanks to its proximity to Cheongwadae(the Blue House, presidential residence) as well as headquarters of many media, finance, and IT companies. - There's a medium sized mart a 3-min walk from the house. - There are many coffee shops, restaurants, and unique shops that sell artisan products.
